Trichomoniasis: The STD Most Malaysians Have Never Heard Of | Dr Prevents
It’s curable in a single dose. It affects millions globally. And almost no one in Malaysia has heard of it. Meet trichomoniasis—the most underdiagnosed STD in our clinic.

Your heart doesn’t keep office hours — and neither do we. At Klinik Dr. Prevents SS15, we offer walk-in ECG (electrocardiogram) tests any time of the day or night, right here in Subang Jaya. Whether you’ve been feeling your heart racing after climbing the stairs, experiencing an occasional tightening in your chest, or your employer simply requires a routine cardiac check, our in-house doctors are here to help you get answers quickly and calmly. No appointment needed. No locum doctors. Just consistent, reliable care from a team that actually knows your health history.

An ECG — short for electrocardiogram — is a simple, painless test that records the electrical activity of your heart. Small adhesive electrode pads are placed on your chest, arms, and legs. These pick up the tiny electrical signals your heart produces with every beat and display them as a wave pattern on a printout. The whole thing takes less than ten minutes from prep to result.
It’s one of the most commonly performed cardiac investigations in Malaysia, and for good reason — it gives doctors an immediate window into how your heart is functioning right now.
A lot of our patients in SS15 and the wider Subang Jaya area come in for an ECG because something just feels off. Others come because their company medical panel requires it, or their specialist has asked for a baseline reading before starting a new medication.
Common reasons patients walk in for an ECG at our SS15 clinic include:
If you’re not sure whether you need one, come in and speak to one of our doctors. We’ll advise you honestly.

We know that anything involving the word “heart” can feel a little nerve-wracking. Here’s what actually happens when you come in:
Before the test: You’ll be asked a few quick questions about your symptoms and medical history. You don’t need to fast or stop any medication beforehand unless your doctor specifically advises it.
During the test: You’ll lie on a bed while our nurse attaches small stickers (electrodes) to your chest, wrists, and ankles. These connect to the ECG machine via thin cables. You’ll be asked to stay still and breathe normally for about 30–60 seconds while the machine records your heart’s electrical activity. It’s entirely painless.
After the test: One of our in-house doctors will review the ECG printout with you and explain what it shows. If anything needs follow-up — whether that’s a referral, further tests, or medication — we’ll walk you through the next steps clearly.
You don’t have to be elderly or unwell to benefit from an ECG. We see patients across all age groups at our Subang Jaya clinic. That said, it’s especially worth getting checked if you:
Even if your results come back completely normal, that peace of mind has real value — and it gives your doctor a useful baseline for future comparisons.
Heart symptoms don’t always show up during business hours. A patient who feels chest tightness at 2am shouldn’t have to wait until morning to be seen. That’s why we remain open around the clock, every single day — including public holidays. Our SS15 clinic is staffed by permanent in-house doctors (not locums), which means the doctor reviewing your ECG tonight may well be the same one who saw you three months ago. Your records are unified, your care is consistent, and you’re never starting from scratch.

Syphilis is unique among STIs—it progresses through clear stages, and the earlier it’s caught, the simpler treatment is. Here’s a complete guide to all four stages.
The test itself takes under 5 minutes. With registration, prep, and the doctor’s explanation, most patients are in and out within 20–30 minutes.
No fasting is required for a standard ECG test.
Not at all. The electrodes simply stick to your skin — nothing is inserted into your body. Some patients say the sticker adhesive feels slightly cold, but that’s about it.
Please call or visit us for current pricing. Our team will be upfront about fees before we proceed with any test.
