Our Influenza Vaccine Services

Do you need to get your annual flu shot? You’ve come to the right place.

For a country with a tropical climate like Malaysia, influenza is always in peak season and carries risks especially at the end of the year when the rainy season is at its peak. With the regular threat of sickness year-round, it is important to get your flu shot to protect yourself and everyone around you.

Understanding Influenza and the Importance of Vaccination

Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe symptoms and sometimes lead to serious complications, especially in vulnerable populations such as young children, older adults, pregnant women, and individuals with underlying health conditions.

Symptoms of influenza typically include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, fatigue, and headaches. Some people may also experience vomiting and diarrhoea, although this is more common in children than adults.

It’s important not to wait until there’s a flu outbreak before getting vaccinated because it takes time for the vaccine to become effective. Annual vaccination is the most effective way to prevent influenza and its complications, allowing your body enough time to produce antibodies to fight the flu. The flu vaccine is typically recommended for everyone aged six months and older, especially those at higher risk of complications or in close contact with vulnerable populations.
