Why Hepatitis B Vaccination Is One of the Most Important Vaccines Available
Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver. In most adults who contract it, the body clears the virus within a few months. But when infants and young children become infected — particularly newborns infected during delivery from a mother who carries the virus — approximately 90% go on to develop chronic Hepatitis B infection. Standard Hepatitis B Vaccination Schedule

At Birth
First dose given within 24 hours of birth — ideally at the maternity hospital. If missed, administer as soon as possible.
2nd
At 1 Month
Second dose given 4 weeks after the first dose. Builds on the initial immune response and prepares for full protection.
